De fyra säsongerna av Carin Mannheimers älskade TV-dramatisering av Viveca Lärns böcker om Saltön. I tre säsonger får vi följa de färgstarka karaktärernas skärgårdsliv på den lilla västkustsön i Bohuslän. I seriens första säsong är det sommar och semestergästerna anländer till Saltön. Men just den här sommaren verkar inte något bli som vanligt. Vi får lära känna ö-invånarna och se hur kärlekens outgrundliga irrvägar påverkar det lilla samhället. När så sommaren är över har livet på ön förändrats. Kan allt någonsin bli som det en gång var?
I säsong två förstår man snart att sedan vi lämnade Saltön har mycket hänt. Sommaren har förbytts till vinter och turisterna är borta. Strax före jul anländer en journalist vars uppdrag egentligen är att rapportera om hur en traditionell skärgårdsjul firas, men han dras snart in i intrigerna på ön.
I tredje säsongen har relationer utvecklats, fler karaktärer tillkommit och på Saltön har en ny ostronbar och krog öppnat. Men det blir panik i skärgårdsidyllen då en pyroman dyker upp på ön, och det är bara journalisten Tommy som är nöjd eftersom han äntligen får något att skriva om.

He said, “If we’re gonna be stupid let’s get paid a lot instead of a little,” but after two weeks of hanging around with beautiful models he thought maybe it wasn’t so bad.
